I finally invested in one by the time by daughter was over a year and let me tell you that was a great day. It saved me so much hassle. It completely reduces the smell. I don’t have to take the trash out constantly because of one bad smelly diaper.
It’s a good size and holds a TON of diapers. I love the simplicity, the easy, and design of the pail. It got me thinking why I listened to this article when since I was a teenager I had always planned on buying one when I had a baby, my mother had lots of kids, so I learned about baby products young.
Listening to the Wrong Voices
It also got me thinking on how many times we listen to other people over our own gut feelings. Over what we know is best. Furthermore, how many times do we take the advice of others over God. How often do we let people talk us out of a good thing or discourage us from a great oppotunity?
Years ago I was walking around in a Christian bookstore when I cam across a bumper sticker that said, “if you’re going to do it don’t worry, If you’re going to worry don’t do it.” Later I also found another sticker that said, “those without dreams of their own will steal yours.” I had a think for bumper stickers back then. I still do. The theme of these stickers have stayed with me all these years.
God has a plan for all of us. Some of us may be too timid to actually grasp what that plan. Is. You may know it but deny it thinking you react good enough in some way. You may be around people who constantly discourage you. Sometimes the people closet to us are the ones the enemy works through to cause us to abandon our hope and our plans, the plans God has for us. Remember, God says “
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23 Keep your eyes firmly fixed on God and to do that you need to be holding on to the word of God.
Be careful Who You Share Your Dream With
Many times I have people tell me that what I want to do is impossible, too hard, will take too long. They tell me the equipment i need is too expensive, only professionals can do it. And guess what? They are always wrong because God put the desire in my heart, which means he made a path to achieve it. I have done a lot of things in my life that people said I couldn’t. You can too. What do you want to do? Go back to school? You can do it. Don’t worry about high school or only. If you’re over 23 you can get in really without any high school grades or test scores. You need money? There are tons of grants available. You want a certain job? Apply for it. WHo cares if you don’t have the requirements. God can open the door and he does all the time. What is your dream?
It may have been a little thing, but by listening to someone’s opinion over my gut I added a lot of mess into my life. Once I got the diaper pail it kept my life easy, clean from trash and smell. It was a small purchase that continues to give back. How many times does God try to make our life better, but we think we know, or we listen to someone else who claims to know more?
Listen to God
Psalm 23 it reads “your rod and staff they comfort me.” Gods directions aren’t meant to make our life miserable. We’re not teenagers who accuse their parents of not wanting us to have fun. HIs directions or to comfort and protect us. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God has a miraculous plan for your life. Do not let anyone steal it from you. I don’t tell my plans to just anyone. I keep them between myself and God.
Psalm 1:1-2 tells us, “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.” Keep your path straight, do not let harmful influences steal your destiny.
Seek the word diligently so when you come upon bogus advice or wrong thinking you can hear the voice of God and. the direction of the Holy Spirit guiding us on what is truly best. Don’t live in a house of stubby diapers when you can have the ease of a diaper pail.
